Patio Remodeling Requires A Plan
Remodeling Plan of Action
Some remodeling tasks seem very difficult when you see at it for the first time. When I went to look at a project that a customer called me about, I immediately realized that it would take some thinking and planning. The home owner wanted a covered patio at the back of his house. However, this new patio roof covering was to be connected to the “L” shaped existing roof!
From the picture it may not look like a big problem, but I could foresee some difficulties:
- connecting the patio remodel into two roof angles
- avoiding leaks and areas where leaves would pile up and rot
- climbing around by myself
- doing the work with an artificial leg
Too hard to do by myself? Perhaps, but after a bit of thought and planning I put together a bid and got the job!
Remodeling Plan of Action
Having a plan of action gave me the confidence I needed to tackle this project. Of course a team of workers could have completed this project much quicker and certainly with less difficulty than doing it by myself. With a plan of action, however, I was confident this remodeling project could be done.
I was able to find a strong, reliable 16-year-old to help carry up the materials to make it easier on my leg. After this patio remodeling job was completed I have to admit that I was very happy with the final results. The home owner certainly was.
Remodeling Plan Brings Results
This remodeling project showed me that even though things look tough and very difficult at first, by careful planning and following a logical sequence, even the hard tasks can be overcome and conquered… if you make a plan.
Betts Remodeling is happy to serve its customers, no matter how big or small the task.
